BATH — The #3 seeded Bath Lady ‘Cats (8-15) took care of business on their home floor Thursday evening, sweeping past Western Buckeye League (WBL) foe, the #7 seeded Van Wert Lady Cougars (1-22), in a Division IV Sectional Final.
The Western Buckeye League (WBL) recently announced its all-league awards for boys soccer, girls soccer and volleyball, with Van Wert Lady Cougars standout Maria Parrish earning an honorable mention nod in volleyball.
KENTON — The Van Wert Lady Cougars (1-21) volleyball squad ventured to Kenton on Tuesday evening for a Western Buckeye League (WBL) clash with the Kenton Lady ‘Cats (7-13).
WAPAKONETA — The Van Wert Lady Cougars (0-12) hit the road Thursday night for a Western Buckeye League (WBL) matchup against Wapakoneta, with the Lady Redskins (5-10) defending their home floor in a straight-set victory, 25-10, 25-15 and 25-22.
VAN WERT — The St. John’s Lady Jays (3-8) picked up a much-needed boost of momentum Tuesday night, going on the road and earning a straight-set sweep over Van Wert (0-9). The Lady Jays controlled play from start to finish, securing the victory by scores of 25-16, 25-8 and 25-14.
BATH — The Van Wert Lady Cougars (0-5) hit the road Thursday night to take on the Bath Lady ‘Cats (3-1) in Western Buckeye League (WBL) volleyball action, with Bath earning a four-set victory (25-17, 26-24, 15-25, 25-17).
