PAYNE, Ohio — Donald G. Greninger, 87, passed away on Monday, Nov. 18, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Donald was born on July 9, 1937, in Diamond, Missouri, to the late Kenneth and Anna “Maxine” (Fiant) Greninger. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. On Dec. 5, 1993, he married Lois Saylor, who survives. Donald retired in 1995 from B.F. Goodrich Tire Company. He was a member of the Lima Missionary Baptist Church, American Legion Post 297 in Payne, and the Masonic Lodge 478 in Hicksville, Ohio.
Along with his loving wife, Donald is survived by his daughters, Julie (Mike) Arsenault of Hamilton, Georgia, Tina (Dale) White of Hamilton, Georgia, and Jessica (Misty) Ryan of Houston, Texas; brother, Ken (Ann) Greninger of Diamond, Missouri; sister, Wanda Brummett of Diamond, Missouri; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024, at Lima Missionary Baptist Church in Lima, Ohio, with Pastors Terry Brock and Clint Goodin officiating. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024, at Wiltsie Cemetery, Payne, with military rites accorded by the Payne American Legion. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 25, 2024, at Den Herder Funeral Home with a Masonic service at 6:30 p.m. There will also be visitation from 10 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday at the church.
