CONVOY—The 23rd annual Leland Smith Insurance Lady Knight Volleyball Invitational is set for this Saturday, September 28 at Crestview High School in Convoy, Ohio. The field features eight teams who will compete for the title of champion.
CONVOY— The Crestview Knights extended their winning streak on Monday night when they hosted county rival Van Wert. The Knights led wire to wire and picked up the victory in straight sets.
NWC — On Thursday evening, the Northwest Conference (NWC) announced its league honors, spotlighting exceptional performances from the season. A standout moment was the recognition of three Lincolnview golfers who made the All-NWC 2nd Team. Seth Brant, Bosten Bailey and Lucas Grubb were celebrated for their impressive play throughout the year, highlighting Lincolnview’s strong showing in the conference.
CONVOY—The Crestview homecoming court was able to beat the brief rain shower on Friday night, as the court was announced prior to kickoff. Throughout the week the Crestview high school voted on who they wanted to be the queen and king but also got to be part of spirit week.
VAN WERT — The Convoy Research Club met Monday, Sept. 16 at the Council on Aging building. Members present were Sandy Amundson, Mary Collins, Ruth Ann Densel, Ruth Etzler, Jo Feasby, Connie Fiock, Audrey McClure, Eunice Mefferd, Janet Moorman, and Marie Sanfilippo. Kevin Matthews, the Council on Aging director, presented the program.
ROCKFORD— The Parkway Student Government will soon be hosting the annual fall homecoming activities. The festivities start on September 29, 2024, starring all Parkway Fall athletic teams and the homecoming attendants from each grade.
VAN WERT—The YMCA of Van Wert County hosted its 8th annual golf outing. This year, the YMCA achieved record numbers, with 60 hole sponsor signs and over 30 door prizes, including a 65 inch flat screen TV, smokeless fire pit, golf bags, golf clubs, and more.
DELPHOS — St. John’s senior volleyball player Grace Moenter earned her 1,000th assist in leading the Lady Jays to a 25-12, 2514, 25-13 sweep of Van Wert last Tuesday night at Robert A. Arnzen Gymnasium.
FORT JENNINGS — On Thursday night, the Fort Jennings Lady Musketeers (1-7) hosted the Crestview Lady Knights (2-4) at the Fort Jennings Outdoor Athletic Complex for a non-conference duel. Fort Jennings had been struggling, suffering five straight losses since their win over Otsego, while Crestview entered the match on a high note, coming off a 6-0 win against LCC.
ROCKFORD-Two dominant teams looked to get back into the win column on Monday night as the Lincolnview Lancers visited the Parkway Panthers. The Panthers picked up the victory in straight sets.
