DELPHOS — You know when a volleyball team has more aces than hitting errors, you’ve had a successful match. The Jefferson squad learned that well Monday night in its 23-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-13 non-conference triumph over Van Wert.
CONVOY—It’s all about putting together a good resume for the tournament draw next week and that’s what the Crestview Lady Knights looked to do on Saturday morning when they hosted the Coldwater Cavaliers. The Cavaliers pulled away in the second half to get the 6-0 victory.
VAN WERT—The road to State for Golf began on Thursday as division two and three sectionals began. Crestview’s Matthew Dealey and Parkway’s Eli Schumn advance to next week’s districts at Bowling Green.
VAN WERT—It was Senior Night on Friday when Van Wert looked to snap their four game skid on Friday night as they took on the Roughriders at Cougar Alumni Field. The Roughriders scored 43 unanswered points to pull away for the 49-14 victory.
VAN WERT—The Van Wert golf team hosted the WBL golf tournament last Thursday at Willow Bend Country Club. It may have started late due to the fog but that didn’t stop the golf team from winning the tournament.
ST. MARYS—The Van Wert Cougar volleyball team looked to get back in the win column on Thursday night when they took on league foe St. Marys. However, the Roughriders proved to be too much as they took the match in straight sets.
CONVOY—In the game of football if you enjoy offense then Friday night’s homecoming game between Allen East and Crestview was the game for you. In the end it came down to the wire, but it was the Mustangs that picked up the 48-41 barn burner victory to spoil the Knights’ victory.
LIMA — The Northwest Conference (NWC) golf championships took place at The Oaks Golf Club on Thursday, showcasing a competitive field of golfers. Allen East’s Levi Clum emerged as the tournament’s medalist with a standout round of 73.
VAN WERT—It was a beautiful Saturday morning at Van Wert Health as 20 teams competed at the annual invitational. The Van Wert boys cross country team took the boys title while the Ottawa Glandorf girls took the girls title.
