MIDDLE POINT — Two excellent volleyball teams battled it out through five sets Monday night before New Knoxville pulled out a thriller over Lincolnview 25-23, 25-27, 20-25, 2511,15-12. The Lady Rangers are now 11-9. The Lady Lancers are 13-6.
CONVOY—The last few years have seen the Lady Knights as standard-bearers for excellence in NWC volleyball. This year is no exception, as the Crestview Knights became NWC champions following their straight set victory over Jefferson on last Monday night.
VAN WERT — The Van Wert volleyball team picked up a much-needed win Saturday afternoon — a hard-fought 2511, 27-25, 18-25, 25-20 win over Waynesfield-Goshen. The Lady Cougars are now 2-18. The Lady Tigers are 10-9.
VAN WERT—The volleyball season headed down the home stretch on Thursday night when the Cougars hosted Kenton. The Cougars battled hard but fell in straight sets to the Wildcats.
ROCKFORD — St. Henry junior quarterback Charlie Werling quickly took over Friday night’s game at Parkway, eventually leading the Redskins to a decisive 48-13 win.
Lincolnview girls finish first out of 24 teams
OTTOVILLE — The Ottoville Lady Green soccer team (5-5) kept their momentum rolling on a wet Tuesday evening last week, securing a 4-0 non-conference victory over the visiting Crestview Lady Knights (28) at Bob Kaple Track and Field Stadium.
CONVOY—It’s all about putting together a good resume for the tournament draw next week and that’s what the Crestview Lady Knights looked to do on Saturday morning when they hosted the Coldwater Cavaliers. The Cavaliers pulled away in the second half to get the 6-0 victory.
VAN WERT—The road to State for Golf began on Thursday as division two and three sectionals began. Crestview’s Matthew Dealey and Parkway’s Eli Schumn advance to next week’s districts at Bowling Green.
