PORT CLINTON — The Ottoville Big Green defense played a pivotal role in their 3-1 victory over the Elyria Open Door Christian Patriots in the regional semifinals on Wednesday night. With standout performances from the backline and goals from Jayden Saxton, Ashton Miller and Nick Quartana, Ottoville (17-3-1) advanced to their fourth consecutive regional finals.

TIFFIN — The Ottoville Big Green (18-3-1) are headed back to the state semifinals for the second straight year after a hard-fought 1-0 regional final victory over Mansfield Christian (11-10-1) at Tiffin’s Frost-Kalnow Stadium on Sunday afternoon. This marks the second state semifinal appearance in school history for Ottoville.

NWC — The Northwest Conference (NWC) unveiled its league honors, celebrating standout performances from the season. Crestview junior Mathew Dealey earned a prestigious spot on the All-NWC 1st Team, recognizing his exceptional contributions on the course.

CONVOY — The Crestview soccer program held its post-season awards banquet to recognize athletes for their hard work throughout the season. Coach Cindy Lamb and her staff presented Northwest Conference achievements and special awards during the event.

MCGUFFEY — The St. John’s gridiron squad outscored host Upper Scioto Valley 21-0 in the second half to seize a 28-22 triumph in Friday night’s opening round of the OHSAA playoffs.

PCL — The Putnam County League (PCL) has unveiled its all-league volleyball selections for the season.

COLUMBUS — On Sunday evening, the path to postseason glory became clear for local high school boys soccer, girls soccer and volleyball teams with the release of the OHSAA sectional and district tournament brackets.
