Ohio legislators risk leaving rural communities behind
The Ohio Legislature’s recent passage of HB-15 is a great improvement in Ohio’s energy policy, but it doesn’t meet all the needs in some rural communities. Chiefly, it fails to address the critical issue of refitting older wind turbines built under SB 213 in Northwest Ohio — turbines that were designed and installed before lawmakers began actively blocking clean energy development through restrictive laws like HB 6 and SB 52.
