
Lancer and Knight boys advance to DIII regionals

COLUMBUS GROVE — Perennial boys cross country power Van Wert won another district championship Saturday, taking home the Division II title at Columbus Grove. The Cougars advance to regionals next weekend.
VAN WERT — Four of Ohio’s top ten Division VI volleyball teams played in the Van Wert District semifinals Monday night. It was top-ranked Coldwater and second- ranked St. Henry that made it through to Wednesday’s all-MAC 6:00 district final.
SPENCERVILLE-It was time for the second season last Tuesday night when the Crestview Knights visited the Spencerville Bearcats. It took an extra session but the Bearcats got a goal from Haley Hittle to advance to the district semifinals on Monday in Ottoville.
LEXINGTON—The Van Wert Cougars ended their volleyball season on Thursday when they made the long trip to Lexington to take on the Minutemen. The Minutemen made quick work of the Cougars and advanced in straight sets.
SPENCERVILLE-It was a calm and cool night at Spencerville high schools on Friday night as the Crestview Knights visited the Spencerville Bearcats in NWC action. The Knights went up two scores early to pull away for the 42-13 victory.
