Fairground LED sign complete

VAN WERT—The Van Wert County Agricultural Society, the managing organization of the Van Wert County Fairgrounds, recently announced the new LED Sign at Gate 2 is complete. When you drive by the fairgrounds on Washington Street the new LED Sign located at the Gate 2 entrance is sure to catch your attention.

Busy week for Rockford council

ROCKFORD—It was a busy week for the Rockford Village Council. Mayor Ron Searight issued a proclamation, council provided updates on the recent problems with Rockford mail, gave some news about one of Rockford’s native daughters, and passed two resolutions–all on Tuesday night.

Brown, farmers discuss severe drought

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) hosted a news conference call on Wednesday, September 18 with farmers and other leaders in Ohio agriculture to discuss the severe drought stretching across Southeast Ohio and share resources available to affected farmers. Ohio is currently experiencing the worst drought in the state since the Dust Bowl. Last week, Brown also hosted a webinar in partnership with USDA’s Farm Service Agency to help connect farmers with federal resources related to the drought.
