VAN WERT—It’s not everyday you see a cherry 1967 Shelby GT500 Cobra, but if you were lucky enough to be at Brookside Drive Thru on Saturday afternoon you might have caught Bill Prowant’s. Prowant bought the car that very morning and was spotted fueling it up with ethanol-free gas at Brookside a little after 1 p.m.

AG Plus, Inc. seeks to expand with new acquisition of Custer Grain Co. Inc.

SOUTH WHITLEY, IND.—AG Plus, Inc. a full-service agribusiness cooperative specializing in agronomy, energy, feed, grain, and turf, announced Monday that it signed a definitive agreement to acquire Custer Grain Co. Inc., a grain and fertilizer company. The acquisition does not include the Pioneer Seed Agency, as Custer Farm Supply will continue to retain.

ADAMHS mini-grants awarded

VAN WERT—The Tri-County Alcohol, Drug Addiction, Mental Health Services Board announced the awarding of three mini-grants for 2025 at its monthly board meeting on Tuesday, August 27. “Several years ago, we started mini-grants where we award $5,000,” said Sandra Goodwin, Tri-County executive director.
