CLEVELAND—Dennis J. VAN WERT — Monday morning shortly after 10 a.m., a vehicle crash with injuries was reported at the intersection of Washington Street and Ervin Road in Van Wert. Tyler Thomas Harrell, 29, of Decatur, Indiana, faces several charges as a result of the incident.
OHIO — Spirit EMS recently announced the launch of two paid EMT classes beginning mid-October. This initiative aims to equip aspiring EMTs with the skills necessary to succeed in a critical field that is currently facing a nationwide workforce shortage.
OHIO — Recently, Cooper Farms welcomed a group of area legislators on a tour of various Cooper Farms locations, such as a sow farm, a hog grow out farm and a turkey breeder farm. The group was also joined by Dr. Christopher Winslow from The Ohio State University as keynote speaker for the event. Dr. Winslow shared his knowledge on water quality and how nutrients are managed responsibly as a valuable resource.
VAN WERT — On Sept. 11, the Van Wert County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) was dispatched to assist the Ohio City Fire Department for a house fire. CERT is working to raise support for the families. After meeting with the family it is determined that only monetary donations are needed.
