MIDDLE POINT— Lincolnview Local Schools has announced its 2024-2025 program year policy for free and reduced-price meals. This program is for students unable to pay the full price of meals or milk served, under the National School Lunch and School Breakfast, After School Care Snack or Special Milk Program. Each school office and the central office has a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed by any interested party.
VAN WERT—The Vantage Career Center Board of Education finalized a lot of loose ends as the new school year looms. The first day of school for all students is Thursday, August 15.

COLUMBUS—The Ohio Cannabis Coalition (OHCANN) announced sales of non-medical marijuana will begin as early as next Tuesday in Ohio (August 6). The dual-use market will allow millions of Ohioans twenty-one years of age or older the freedom to purchase non-medical marijuana products at participating state licensed dispensaries.

WREN—Jeff Millay has been selected as the Grand Marshal for the Wren Homecoming Parade for 2024. Pastor Jeff grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. AFter graduating from Grace Seminary in 1985 he served in two internships before accepting the Senior Pastor position at Pleasant View Church, two miles north of Wren on State Route 49, in early 1986. He has faithfully served at Pleasant View Church since then. As Jeff and Cindy raised their four children there were numerous opportunities to be involved with the community. His love of sports gave him additional opportunities for community service. Millay helped coach baseball and softball for many years as his kids played on different Wren and other teams.
