Van Wert High School graduate Kyle Holliday recently completed his collegiate basketball career at Ohio Wesleyan University. During his four years, the Battling Bishops compiled a record of 75 wins and 35 losses including several North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) second-place finishes, an NCAC Tournament Championship and a trip to the NCAA Division III National Tournament advancing to the Sweet 16.
In his senior season, Holliday led OWU in scoring averaging 15.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. Nationally, Holliday was recognized by being named as an NCAA College Division Second Team Academic All-American and was 1 of 29 male winter sport athletes in all NCAA Divisions to receive an NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship.
Holliday earned First Team All-NCAC, Second Team NCAA Division III All-Great Lakes District and Third Team NCAA Division III All-Region honors. Holliday was recognized as Ohio Wesleyan University's Top Male Scholar Athlete and as an NCAC Male Scholar Athlete. For his career, Holliday became OWU's 25th basketball player in history to achieve the 1,000 point milestone and finishes his career as No. 18 on the Ohio Wesleyan all-time scoring list. Holliday graduated in May from OWU with a degree in Economics Management majoring in Accounting.
