VAN WERT - The Crossroads of America Festival Antique Tractor Tour VI hits the road this Saturday. Antique tractors, defined as those built before 1972, running on rubber tires and capable of maintaining a speed of 10 mph, will head out on the highway. Anyone wanting to ride along in a tour wagon with seats is invited to do so as well.

The tour has continued to grow year after year, and the line of tractors on the tour gets longer and longer each time around.

Participants will take a commercial tour at Gordon Tool and a lunch stop at Waterfalls Farm with food catered by Susan Mills. Pictures by Gibby's Photo will be available for all tractor participants. Sponsors for the 2012 event are Kennedy-Kuhn, Scott Equity, and Tractor Supply Company.

The tour will begin at Kennedy-Kuhn at 10305 Liberty-Union Rd. and travel north to Old Tile Factory Rd. The group will turn left on Old Tile Factory to Bergner Rd., take a right on Bergner Rd. and go to Lincoln Hwy. From there the tour will travel west on Lincoln Hwy. to Convoy-Heller Rd. then turn right and take Convoy-Heller to the county line, turn left on County Line Rd. to St. Rd. 49, then right on 49 for one-half mile to Gordon Tool.

Leaving southward on 49, the tour will turn left on County Line Rd. and travel to Convoy-Heller Rd. when it will turn right. At Elm Sugar Rd., the tractors will turn left and travel to Waterfalls Farm for lunch. After lunch the tour will continue east on Elm Sugar to Liberty-Union Rd. Then the route turns right on Liberty-Union and runs all the way back to Kennedy-Kuhn.
