SYLVANIA, OH — Lourdes University’s Brad Miller (Convoy, Ohio/Crestview H.S.) has been named the NAIA Men’s Volleyball Libero of the Week after helping lead the Gray Wolves to a 3-1 record during opening weekend.
Miller tallied 50 digs, an average of 3.57 digs per set, for the Gray Wolves and committed just two reception errors over the four matches. He also handed out five assists.
In the season-opening sweep at Cincinnati Christian on Friday night, Miller tallied 13 digs while adding a pair of assists. On Saturday in a four-set loss to ninth-ranked Missouri Valley on Saturday, the junior notched two more assists and had 17 digs. Miller stepped out of his libero role in Sunday’s first match against Rust, posting nine kills and a .750 hitting percentage in addition to tallying eight digs as an outside hitter. Miller concluded the weekend with 12 digs in a four-set triumph over Mount Saint Joseph when he returned to the libero position.
Miller is the first Lourdes men’s volleyball player to earn any sort of Player of the Week honors in program history.
