ROCKFORD — Parkway’s Terra Wallsposted a round of 46 to earn medalist honors, but it wasn’t enough to help the Lady Panthers golf team hold off conterence rival Ft. Recovery in a tri-match at Deerfield Golf Course on Thursday.
The Lady Indians had a pair of golfers break 50, as Trisha Thien (47) and Tori Vaughn (49) paced the squad to a team total of 213, which bested Parkway by three shots. Antwerp wound up 13 shots off the pace.
Autumn Stetler carded a 51 for the Panthers and Tayler Hesse added a round of 59. Brenna Brazle wound up with a uncharicteristic score of 60 to close the Parkway scoring. Chanel Walls (75) and Liz Dellinger (79) also competed for the Panthers.
Parkway moves to 1-2 on the season and 0-1 in Midwest Athletic Conference play.
