HAVILAND – Addison Baumle tossed a no-hitter on the mound and added three hits offensively to lead the Wayne Trace Lady Raiders to a 9-0 win over county rival Paulding in non-league softball action Tuesday night.
Baumle struck out ten Panther hitters on the night and allowed only walk as Wayne Trace moved to 2-0 on the year. The Raider junior also ripped a pair of doubles and added a single at the plate.
Wayne Trace broke open a scoreless game with four runs in the fourth before sealing the victory with five more tallies in the fifth.
Molly Crosby added a three-run home run for the red-white-and-blue while Emilie Linder chipped in three singles. Carley Wright posted a three-run double as well for Wayne Trace. Bailey Bergman had a double and Mackenzie Swary posted a single for the other Raider hits.
Emily Farr suffered the loss for the Panthers, allowing ten hits and a pair of walks while fanning one in six innings of work.
The Raiders return to action on Wednesday, as they visit Continental.
