ROCKFORD — The Lady Panthers are coming off a trip to the state softball tournament and they have come out of the gates looking as if they are ready to head back this summer.
On Monday, senior hurler Sierra Fent not only held Spencerville to three hits in a 9-1 Parkway victory, but drove in three runs as part of a 3-for-4 day at the plate that included a pair of doubles. Parkway pounded St. Marys by a 15-4 score in five innings of action of Tuesday evening, improving to 2-0 on the young season.
On Tuesday night, Kayle Heckler took to the circle and yielded just two runs in four innings of work to earn her first career varsity win.
Once again, it was Fent who drove the bus on offense, collecting six runs batted in during the rout of the Roughriders. Fent’s three-hit performance included a single, a double, and a home run. Alyx Slusher and Ashlynn Henderson also had three hits each and Terra Walls finished 2-for-3 at the plate as part of the Lady Panthers’ 14-hit effort.

Slusher collected two hits and two RBI in Monday’s win at Spencerville.
