HEBRON — The Lincolnview boys varsity team competed in the 3rd annual OHSAA pre-season invitational held on the state cross country course in Hebron, Ohio.
The Lancer boys ran in the Division II and Division III combined race and came away with the championship trophy placing ahead of 21 other schools. They were led by two top-10 finishes. Bayley Tow placed 3rd and Alex Rodriguez placed 6th overall.
Rounding out the scoring was Colton Snyder (19th), Trevor Neate (20th), Tracey West (21st), Tyler Brant (28th), Brayden Farmer (54th), and Troy Thompson (62nd). The boys scored just 63 points. Pre-season state-ranked D-II Unioto scored 98 to place 2nd.
“It was a good start for the boys,” noted Lancer coach Matt Langdon. “We knew based on camp that we had the potential to significantly improve from last season and this race showcased that. We ran very aggressively the last half of the race and were able to get our top six in the top 30 of the race.”

“I was very pleased with the way that we competed given this early stage in the season. Now we can focus on the regular season and start the process of improving and getting better.”
