HAVILAND - Wayne Trace made twice as many two point field goals as did their opponent on Monday night, but despite shooting 45 percent from the floor overall, the Lady Raiders were no match for Lima Central Catholic.
LCC used a 14-for-30 (47 percent) effort from three-point range to make up for a 12-of-32 night from inside the arc and roll over the Lady Raiders by a final of 76-63.
Wayne Trace did everything you want to do in a game in terms of offense and rebounding. They shot a great percentage, they made their free throws (12-for-14 as a team) and they dominated the glass, collecting 45 rebounds to the T-birds' 28.
They also turned the ball over 26 times, however, and that, along with the long-range game for Lima Central Catholic, was too much to overcome.
Both schools put four players in double figures on Monday night with LCC's Meredith Shepherd leading all scorers with 20 points. Teammate Liz Kidd collected 19 while Madison Stolly added 13 and Sydney Mohler scored 11 points for the Lady T-birds.

Brenda Feasby topped the Lady Raiders with 15 points, coming on 6-of-11 shooting, while Erin Mohr and Lauren Speice added 14 points apiece. Shayna Temple scored 10 points as well while grabbing nine rebounds, narrowing missing her second consecutive double-double. Speice collected 17 boards to lead Wayne Trace on the glass.
The win moves LCC to 8-5 on the year while the Lady Raiders fall to 8-4.
LCC won the JV contest as well, posting a 55-43 win.
