CELINA — The Lady Lancer golf team traveled Celina on Thursday to take on St. Henry at the Mercer County Elks Golf Course. St. Henry junior Alyssa Mescher carded a 45 to earn match medalist honors as the hosts cruised to a 206-227 win. St. Henry moves to 4-1 in dual matches while the Lady Lancers fall to 0-1 in such contests.
Runner-up medalist honors went to St. Henry’s Lauren Greishop, who posted a 52.
Lincolnview was led by Mikenna Klinger, who carded a 53 on the round. McKenzie Davis posted a 57 with Makenzie Kraft and Macala Ashbaugh each posting a 58. Marissa Miller and Madison Shepherd also participated for the Lady Lancers.
Lincolnview is back in action next Thursday, traveling to Wapakoneta Country Club.



Rahrig leads Raiders
PAYNE — Paige Rahrig shot a 45 to lead the Wayne Trace lady Raiders past Fairview 205-251 at Pleasant Valley Golf Course Thursday afternoon.
Gracie Gudakunst added a 50 and Brooke Sinn chipped in a 54 for the red, white and blue. Hailey Dempsey and Gilly Wiseman recorded a 56 and 59, respectively, for Wayne Trace.
Paige Johnson led Fairview with a 60.

Cougars bested by St. Marys
VAN WERT — Despite getting off to a good start with the Hernandez duo, the Cougars still lost a close match against undefeated St. Marys at Willow Bend on Thursday. The Roughriders posted a 174-178 win.
Freshman Jared Hernandez had a 4-over par 39 to take match medalist honors for Van Wert. Close behind was senior brother Brandon, who carded a 40 to tie with area standout Carter Bowman.
Daniel MaGowan shot a 49 for the Cougars with Gabe Rollins posting a 50. Jacob Covey carded a 52 and Carter Eikenbary posted a round of 57.
The Cougars drop to 1-3 in the WBL while St. Marys moves to 3-0.
Van Wert travels to Defiance on Saturday morning and will have its next home match Tuesday versus Elida at 4:30 p.m.

Cavs roll past Parkway
CELINA — Hayden Lyons shot a 44 and Connor Morton followed with a 45, but the Parkway boys golf team came up on the wrond end of a 184-211 score to host Coldwater at the Mercer County Elks Golf Course on Thursday. Coldwater’s Tyler Kanney earned medalist honors with a 40.
Other scores for the Panthers included Clayton Agler, who carded a 60 and Cole Schoenleben, who posted a 62. Ashton Hamerick (62) and Hunter Gause (63) also played for Parkway.

Lady Panthers get MAC win
ROCKFORD — Parkway’s girls moved to 2-2 in Midwest Athletic Conference play with a win over Coldwater at Deerfield on Thursday. The Lady Cavs had just three players, giving Parkway the victory.
Terra Walls was the medalist, shooting a 45 for the round, with Brenna Brazle carding a 53 and Autumn Steler adding a 57. The Panther scoring was rounded out by Chanel Walls’ 64. Taylor Hesse (65) and Maggie Houts (78) also competed for Parkway.
Coldwater was led by Shannon Osterfeld, who fired a 48.

Lancers, Knights split NWC matches
VAN WERT — Lincolnview and Crestview each hosted matches against Bluffton and Spencerville when the four teams got together at Hickory Sticks on Thursday evening.
The Lancers defeated Spencerville 182-191 while losing to Bluffton (162). Crestview shot a team score of 183 to finish win a win over the Bearcats, but a loss to the Pirates.
Overall medalist for the day was shared by James Harrod of Bluffton and Lincolnview’s Joshah Rager, each shot a round of 2-over 38. Justis Dowdy posted a 45 for the Lancers, with Derek Youtsey carding a 46. Damon Norton’s 53 finished the Lancer scoring with Braden Thatcher (55) and Logan Kraner (68) also playing.
Crestview was paced by the 42 of Connor Lautzenheiser. Caden Hurless shot a 46 and Ronnie Schumm posted a 47 for the Knights. Jon Germann’s 48 was the final scoring round for Crestview with Derek Biro (52) and Mitchell Rickard (54) also playing.
