COLUMBUS — Crestview is still working toward its goal of having the top boys basketball team in the state, but a pair of its leaders have already been recognized among the elite.
Head coach Jeremy Best was one of three to be named as Coach of the Year in Division IV and senior forward Damian Helm was one of four athletes to share the Player of the Year award as the Associated Press released its 2013-14 All-Ohio boys basketball team Tuesday evening.
Helm, who averages 15.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game, was joined by David Dennis, Jr of Canal Winchester Harvest Prep, Austin Hill of Louisville St. Thomas Aquinas, and Tyler Cook of New Madison Tri-Village as co-Players of the Year.
