JACKSON, Mich. — Scott “Chip” Charles May of Jackson, Michigan, passed away at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at the age of 56. Chip was the son of Daniel Corwin and Nancy Lee (Sinn) May, born March 12, 1961, in Van Wert, Ohio.

He is survived by his three children, Alyssa May, Katie May and Cory May; his mother, Nancy May; brother, Cris (Holly) May; niece, Alleah; two nephews, Carter May and Nathan May; Shaun Macchia, mother of their three children, and numerous special friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Dan May; sister, Michelle May; two brothers, Mike May and Todd May; nephew, Gavin May.

Chip was a Crestview High School graduate from Convoy, Ohio. He worked at Lomar Machine & Tool for 37 years, as a sales engineer. He enjoyed golfing, summers at Marble Lake with family and friends in Quincy, Michigan, Friday breakfast at the Wooden Spoon, and his dog Sophie. Chip was the most loving, kind, and generous man. He touched the lives of everyone who knew him and will be deeply missed by all. According to Chip’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

A celebration of Chip’s life will be held at Hillside United Methodist Church, 6100 Folks Road, Horton, MI 49246 on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Chris Murphy officiating. The family will receive friends at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Tuesday from 6 - 8 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Chip may be made to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home, 2150 Kingsbrooke Drive, Jackson, MI 49202.
