PAULDING, Ohio — Russell Edward Haney, 59, died Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 30, 1954, in Paulding County, Ohio, the son of Charles and Irene (Scott) Haney.

On Oct. 10, 1981, he married Molly D. Riggenbach, who survives.


He was a US Army veteran, retired in 2012 from BF Goodrich, and was a member of Paulding Church of the Nazarene.

He is survived by his wife, Molly Haney of Paulding; three children: Tim (Monica) Haney of Gibsonburg, Ohio, Scott Haney of Antwerp, and Clint Haney of Paulding; grandchildren: Collin, Jaxson, Joseph, Abigail; two brothers: Virgil (Tina) Sentel of Paulding, and Charles “Todd” Sentel of Pioneer, and a sister, Joyce (Everett) Nichols of Oakwood.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at the Paulding Church of the Nazarene, with the Rev. Jeremy Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery, with military graveside rites accorded by VFW Post 587.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2014, at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, and one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations made to American Cancer Society or Community Health Professionals & Hospice.
