FORT JENNINGS, Ohio — Robert L. “Bobby” Calvelage, 80, of Fort Jennings, died on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at The Meadows of Kalida.

He was born Feb. 15, 1937, in Allen County, to Gerard “Dutch” and Gertrude (Krebs) Calvelage. They both preceded him in death. He married Elizabeth “Betty” L. Warnecke on Oct. 6, 1962, she survives in Fort Jennings.

Other survivors include:

Daughter — Nancy Haunhorst of Delphos;

Sons — Rick (Jackie) Calvelage of Middle Point, Bill (Deb) Calvelage of Ft. Jennings, Alan (Elaine) Calvelage of Cloverdale, Rex (Beth) Calvelage of Delphos and Brad (Sue) Calvelage of Fort Jennings;

Brother — Fred Calvelage of Delphos;

Sisters — Irma Meyer, Norma Von Sossan and Carol Ricker, all of Fort Jennings.

He was preceded in death two sisters, Evelyn Miehls and Judy Miehls, and two brothers, Ronald Calvelage and Gary Calvelage.

He was an Army veteran who served from 1957-1959 in Germany.

Mass of Christian burial will be on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Jennings. Father Charles Obinwa will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, from 2-8 p.m. at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos.
