DECATUR, Ind. — R. Timothy “Tim” Krueckeberg, 66, of Decatur, Adams
County, Ind., died at 6:44 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at his residence
following an apparent cardiac event.
He was born May 15, 1947, in Ft. Wayne, Ind., to the late Edgar Krueckeberg and Leonora (Bruick) Krueckeberg.
Tim was united in marriage to Norma Kraner on Nov. 20, 1970, in Van Wert, Ohio.
Tim was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War
was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Decatur, and American Legion
Post 43 in Decatur. He retired from B.F. Goodrich after 42 ½ years of
employment. He also helped Leonard Thieme on the farm … which was a
great enjoyment for him.
Among his hobbies, he enjoyed fishing
with Tami and grandkids, Indiana University basketball, Cleveland
Browns, Cleveland Indians, antique tractors, playing cards, and
attending the many extracurricular events his grandchildren were
Survivors include his wife: Norma Krueckeberg of
Decatur; two daughters: Tina (Neil) Slusher and Tami (Heath) Reidenbach,
both of Decatur; brother: Gary Krueckeberg of Utah, and two
grandchildren: Bailey Slusher and Brevin Slusher.
will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, in the Immanuel
Lutheran Church, Decatur. The Rev. David Koeneman will officiate. Burial
will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
will be from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Wednesday in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral
Home, Decatur, and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
Preferred memorial is Immanuel Lutheran Church in Decatur, American Legion Post 43, or donor’s choice.
