CONVOY, Ohio — Nina Duella Dealey, 89, of Convoy, died at 3:42 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, at CHP Inpatient Hospice Center, Van Wert,
She was born April 21, 1925, in Van Wert County, to the late Duella (Krauter) and Francis Krick.
Her husband, Oliver Henry Dealey, died July 21, 1995. They were married Aug. 2, 1941.
Survivors include sons: Larry J. Dealey and Basil H. (Margy) Dealey,
both of Convoy, and Rev. Byron (Marsha) Dealey of New Castle, Indiana;
daughter: Rosina N. Thatcher of Decatur, Indiana; 16 grandchildren; 26
great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Perth and Viola Krick.
was a homemaker and operated with her husband Dealey Chemicals where
she served as secretary. She was a member of the former Walnut Grove
Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and president of
the Women’s Aide. She was currently a member of the Convoy United
Methodist Church and of the United Methodist Women. She was a member of
Convoy Grange, Convoy Farmers’ Wives, Japonica Garden Club, Boarding
Neighbors Purdue Home Extension Club, a former advisor for the Union
4-H, enjoyed playing cards in Monroeville and Decatur and traveling.
will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, at Cowan & Son
Funeral Home, Van Wert. The Rev. Greg Leigh of Convoy United Methodist
Church will officiate. Burial will be in Dealey Cemetery, Paulding
Calling hours are Saturday from 2 - 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
Preferred memorial is CHP Inpatient Hospice Center or Convoy United Methodist Church.
