SCOTT, Ohio — Mary E. Klopfenstein, 85, of Scott, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at her residence.

She was born Oct. 19, 1928, in Wells County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Jacob and Minnie (Baumgartner) Tonner.

On Dec. 16, 1950, she married Marvin W. Klopfenstein, who survives.


Other survivors include a son: Keith (JoAnne) Klopfenstein of Scott; one daughter: Karen (Lester) Manz of Paulding; two sisters: Marcella (Truman) Yergler and Doris (Dale) Feichter, both of Bluffton, Indiana; 11 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Jaymee Klopfenstein, one sister: Cordelia Aeshliman, and two brothers: Curtis and Harry Tonner.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at Latty Apostolic Christian Church. Burial will follow in Latty Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2:30-8 p.m. Thursday at Latty Apostolic Christian Church Fellowship Hall and an hour prior to services Friday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to Galilean Children’s Home, Liberty, Kentucky, or Gateway Woods Children’s Home, Leo, Indiana.
