CONVOY, Ohio — Lois E. Owens, 77, of Convoy, Tully Township, died at 7:05 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 20, 1936, in Van Wert County, to the late Ethel (Lee) and Otto G. Krugh.
Her husband, Doyt L. Owens, survives. They were married May 20, 1956.
Survivors include a daughter: Cindy (Robert) Perkins of Convoy and a
son: Scott D. Owens of Convoy; three grandchildren: Keri L. Perkins of
Ashville, Ohio, Matthew (Katie) Perkins of Convoy, and Jamie (Brian)
Butt of Cincinnati; sisters-in-law: Marjorie (Howard) Hoblet and Juanita
(Norman) Christian, both of Convoy, and Joyce Owens of Van Wert;
brothers-in-law: Ervin (Iva Lou) Owens of Van Wert, Marvin (Lenore)
Owens of Monroeville, Ind., and Wilmer Bowers of Convoy.
preceded in death by a brother: Glenn Krugh; a sister: Jean Bultemeier;
in-laws: Richard Bultemeier, Waldo Owens, Marlin Owens, Vivian Bowers,
and nephews: Jim Bultemeier and Lee Hoblet.
She was a homemaker
and also worked at Thomas Edison Early Childhood Center. She was a
member of Countryside Chapel United Methodist Church and a graduate of
Convoy-Union High School.
Services will be held at 10:30
a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014, at Countryside Chapel United Methodist
Church, Convoy. The Rev. Wayne Karges will officiate. Burial will be in
Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
Preferred memorial is Countryside Chapel United Methodist Church or CHP Hospice.
