VAN WERT, Ohio — Larry J. Agler of Van Wert died at 5:15 p.m. on Feb. 15, 2014, at his residence.
He was born March 9, 1945, in Van Wert, to the late Esther “Dottie” (Waldron) Agler and Bruce Agler.
His wife, Bonnie (Miller) Agler, survives in Van Wert. They were married Sept. 23, 1965, in Middle Point, Ohio.
Survivors include children: Larry “Jay” (Julia) Agler, Vicky (Craig)
Kiracofe, and Amy (Chad) Adams, all of Van Wert; brothers: Dan Agler of
Convoy, Ohio, and Steve Agler of Lima, Ohio; sister: Connie Barnes of
Van Wert; grandchildren: Gavin Gardner, Kali Agler, Jessie Agler, and
Casey Kiracofe; stepgrandchildren: Kyley Winklejohn and Mackenzie Adams,
and a stepgreat-grandchild: Donovan Winklejohn.
He was preceded in death by a grandchild: Abigail Gardner.
retired from Dolco Packaging, Decatur, Ind. He had also previously
worked at Borden’s Cheese and Findlay Ind. Larry loved camping and
fishing with his family and loved supporting his grandchildren in their
activities; above all else, Larry loved his family and, in return, they
were honored to be a part of his family. He was a 1964 graduate of Van
Wert High School.
Services will be held at 11 a.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home &
Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Steve Savage will officiate. Burial will
be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Community Health Professionals - Hospice or donor’s choice.
