DEFIANCE, Ohio — Juan B Palomin, 78, of Defiance, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014, at the Toledo Hospital, Toledo, Ohio.
He was born on March 28, 1936, to Jose and Margarita (Banda) Palomin in Texas.
On Oct. 24, 1981, he married Rosa (Berlanga) Palomin and she passed away on March 27, 2009.
Juan was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and the K of C of Defiance. He retired from the GM Foundry in 1995.
is survived by his daughters: Julie (Juan) Delgado of Napoleon, Maria
(Jorge) Mejia of Defiance; son: Tony (Melanie) Berlanga of Defiance; 10
grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother: Joe Palomin of Artesia,
N.M.; sisters: Dolores DeAnda of Seminal, Texas, Minnie Briones of
Haskel, Texas, Linda Palomin of San Angelo, Texas, Katie Delgado of San
Angelo, Texas, and Mary Torres of Sudan, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Rosa, son: Rick Palomin, and brothers: Frank and Tony Palomin and Joe Herrera.
of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at
St. John’s Catholic Church with Father Todd Dominique officiating.
Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be held from
2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2014, at Schaffer Funeral Home,
Defiance, Ohio, with a rosary service being held at 3 p.m.
The family suggest memorials be directed to the family or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
