PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — John Eldon Cramer, 79, of Port St. Lucie,
Florida, formerly of Van Wert, Ohio, went home to be with Jesus on
Sunday, June 22, 2014.
He was born Jan. 9, 1935, in Ohio City, Ohio, to John and Lucille Cramer.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Marcia (Ireton) Cramer and his son, David Cramer.
John and Marcia raised their family in Worthington, Ohio. John was
retired from AT&T and was an integral part of the transition to and
troubleshooting of digital long distance phone lines. He was a U.S. Navy
veteran who served as an ET2 on the USS Trumpet Fish submarine in Key
John was an avid western movies fan, enjoyed NASCAR racing and never missed a showing of a Duke basketball game.
is survived by his children, Rick Cramer (Kim Tuggle) of Pensacola,
Florida, and William Cramer (Wanda) of Port St. Lucie, Florida;
grandchildren: Brittany Cramer of St. Petersburg, Florida, Reed Cramer
of Tampa, Florida, Kevin Cramer of Tampa, Florida, Robert Cramer and
Colin W. Cramer of Orlando, Florida; brothers, Charles Cramer (Sharon)
of Manning, South Carolina and Walter Cramer (Maria Kruse) of Dayton,
Ohio, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be
received from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Brickner
Funeral Home in Van Wert. Services will follow at 11 a.m.
