FINDLAY, Ohio — Jerry Dean Thomas, 71, of Findlay, Hancock County,
died at 6:10 p.m. Monday, May 26, 2014, at Birchaven Village, Findlay.
He was born Nov. 28, 1942, in Mendon, Ohio, to the late Raymond and Freida (Dilbone) Thomas.
He had been married to Mary L. (Thompson) who is deceased and Nancy (Glander).
Survivors include a son: Jeff Thomas of Findlay; daughters: Kathy
(Bart) Fenimore, Kris Thomas and Tammy Wieging, all of Findlay;
stepsons: James (Danielle) Deterer of Ashley, Ohio, Joshua (Jackie)
Deterer of Summerville, South Carolina; brothers: Ronnie Thomas of
Arlington, Ohio, and James Allen (Becky) Thomas of Convoy, Ohio; sister:
Pam Vannett of Delphos, Ohio; 21 grandchildren, and 16
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter:
Shelby Deterer, one great-grandchild, and brothers: Max McNutt, William
Thomas, and Gene Thomas.
He retired from furniture sales. He was affiliated with College First Church of God, Findlay. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2014, at Birchaven
Village Chapel, Findlay. A graveside service will be held at Mendon
Cemetery, Mendon. The Rev. Bill Reist of College First Church of God
will officiate. Military honors will be conducted by the Ohio City
American Legion Post 346.
Preferred memorial is Bridge Home Health & Hospice or the family.
