MISSION, Kansas - Frank (Gene) Terry, 96, Mission, Kansas, passed away Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, in Kansas City, Mo.
Memorial services were held Nov. 1 in Overland Park, Kan. Inurnment with military honors was held at the Fort Scott National Cemetery, Ft. Scott, Kan.

Frank was born Sept. 16, 1917, in Van Wert, Ohio. He was a 1936 graduate of Van Wert High School and was one of three remaining members from the class of '36, along with Richard Bowers and Maxine Halverson Morgan.
He obtained a BS degree from Loyola University in Baltimore, Md., and received his MBA from UMKC. Frank served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He had a 30-year career with the federal government, retiring in 1974. He was a 50-year Mason, and past grand master of the Pierre, S.D. lodge. Frank was a past city councilman in Merriam, Kan., and was a longtime member of St. Marks United Methodist Church.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Isabel, and son, James. Survivors include his two sons, Chuck (Lynn) Terry of Prairie Village, Kan., and Richard Terry of Overland Park, Kan.; daughter, Judy (Roger) Strand of Englewood, Colo.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
