CONVOY, Ohio — Eleanor Martha Cox, 84, of Convoy, died at 1:28 p.m.
Thursday, June 19, 2014, at the CHP Inpatient Hospice Center, Van Wert.
She was born March 10, 1930, in Decatur, Indiana, to the late Alma (Tewers) and William Goelz.
Her husband, Paul Richard Cox, died Feb. 24, 1983. They were married Jan. 9, 1955.
Survivors include her sons: Brian R. Cox of Convoy and Scott A.
(Stephanie) Cox of Decatur; a brother: Herbert (Dorothy) Goelz of
Hoagland, Indiana; sisters: Marjorie Armstrong of Columbia City,
Indiana, and WillaMae (Walter) Stafford of Ft. Wayne, Indiana;
sisters-in-law: Winnie Goelz of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Miriam Goelz
of Monroeville, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her brothers: Bob and Danny Goelz, and sisters: Velma McDonald, Katherine Goelz.
She was a homemaker, a member of St. Paul’s Reformed Church in America and a graduate of Decatur High School.
will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2014, at Cowan & Son
Funeral Home, Van Wert. Pastor Chad Strabbing of St. Paul’s RCA will
officiate. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Convoy.
Calling hours are Sunday from 1 - 6 p.m. and one hour prior to services Monday.
Preferred memorial is CHP Inpatient Hospice Center or the donor’s choice.
