PAULDING, Ohio — E. Roberta (Merritte) Bair, 81, of Paulding, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 12, 2014.
Roberta was born on Sept. 27, 1933, in Garrett, Kentucky, the daughter of Beatrice (Johnson) and Abraham Merritte.
On Jan. 15, 1949, she married the love of her life, Charles “Junior” E. Bair, with whom she shared 59 wonderful years.
While alive, she truly lived. Blessed with a talent for creating
beauty in the world around her, Roberta kept a meticulous home, created
magnificent wreaths and centerpieces, and cultivated a garden, which
rivaled those in her favorite magazines, Better Homes and Gardens and
She was always a loving inspiration to those
around her, touching many hearts and lives with her quiet strength in
the Lord. She was a magnificent wife, mother, and grandmother, and
cherished her church family at Harvest Field Pentecostal Church in
Surviving are her children: Doug Bair of Loveland,
Ohio, Dana (Ruth Ann) Bair and Sue (Denny) Reinhart, both of Oakwood,
Ohio, and Jayne (Rick) Molnar of Grand Rapids, Ohio; seven
grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three stepgrandsons; a
brother: Fredrick (Phyllis) Merritte of Paulding, and a sister: Jeanette
Miller of Findlay.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Charles “Junior” E. Bair, granddaughter: Sarah Reinhart and grandson: Andrew Reinhart.
will be held from 2-8 p.m. Monday, June 16 at Den Herder Funeral Home,
Paulding and one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the church.
services will be held at her home church, Harvest Field Pentecostal
Church, 13625 Road 12, Scott, Ohio, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 17 with the
Rev. Terry Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Little Auglaize
