To the editor,

The eighth annual United Way Bag Bingo was held at the Council on Aging building in Van Wert on Saturday, Nov. 4. The event had 20 regular bingo games, an early bird bingo game yielding $500 in cash, numerous pull-tab games and even a special prize game valued of over $500 in a treasure chest. Aimee Messman was the winner of the treasure chest filled with a new Kitchen Aid Mixer and a $100 Visa gift card.

An array of food was also available at the event. Snack items were donated from Vantage Career Center, Van Wert Manor, as well as other anonymous donors of snacks sold to enhance the day.

Eaton would like to sincerely thank sponsors for having such a caring and giving heart. Without their items and financial support for this event it would not have been possible. With your donations, Eaton was able to provide not only a day of fun but over $10,000 to the local United Way.

To our Eaton United Way Team and others that volunteered, Eaton says thank you! This event would not have ran smoothly as it did if you had not put in the long hours working with sponsors of bags, cooking, serving food and overseeing the activities … “Together we made a difference in our community!”
