To the editor,

Calling all veterans, especially Vietnam veterans!

The Garrett American Legion Post 178 will have another meeting on Wednesday, March 12. The topic of this meeting will again be “Agent Orange” or as the government likes to call it “Herbicide Exposure.”

The last meeting on Monday, Dec. 16, 2013 was well attended with almost 70 adults there, mostly Vietnam veterans. There also were family members there. They heard a lot information that they had not heard before from Brian Lamm, (DeKalb County veteran service officer). The meeting lasted a little over an hour.

The input we got from that meeting was great, but they wanted more information. They also thought there were more

veterans that would like to hear the information. Brian is planning on having other people there to help him present the

information and answer questions from the audience.

If you were a Vietnam veteran or had a family member there, please try to attend. Brain Lamm will again be there.

The seating area did fill up quickly, so try to get there before the 6 p.m. meeting starting time to get a good seat.

Admission is free! You do not need to be a member of the Post 178.

Our post is a non-smoking post but there is a covered area on our deck for that purpose with tables and chairs.

Gibby has volunteered to cook again from 4:30 till 8 p.m. You will be able to purchase food during that time.

This is not a drawing night so we hope it will be quieter than the last meeting.

Mark the date on your calendar now, so save the date.
