To the editor,

On Nov. 10, the Middle Point Amvets 698 Ladies Auxiliary partnered with the Lincolnview School system to have a food and personal drive for the Veterans Food Pantry of Northwest Ohio. The event was a huge success.

Mr. Niemeyer’s, Mrs. Dowdy’s and Mr. Owens’ classes were the winners of the pizza parties. Thank you for your donations, Lancerland.

I would like to give a huge thank you to several people who stepped up and did a fantastic job collecting all items. These people are Amy King, Cami Delgado/Quirk, Crystal Reed, Karen Nieto, Harry Spridgen, Mike Niese (for the use of the trailer), Sabrina Ricker, Andrea O’ddaffer, and Jason Quirk.

Also thank you goes out to Cooper Farms, Lakeview Farms, Amvets, Auxiliary and Sons for your generous donations. They were greatly appreciated.

Channel 35 Lima News did a great job of covering the event.

To all the ladies who baked or donated cookies for the Veterans Day program, thank you.

Amvets, Auxiliary and Sons are always looking for new members. The post opens at 4 p.m. daily. Stop in and fill out membership forms.

In closing, please remember to keep the men and women in all branches of service in your thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,

Linda Lewis

President of Amvets 698 Auxiliary
