Washington Twp. crimes suspect captured

VAN WERT — A suspect in eight different possible crimes in Washington Township has been arrested by Van Wert County Sheriff’s deputies. According to Van Wert County Sheriff Thomas M. Riggenbach, Kiehl A. Martin, 27, Findlay, is currently in custody in the Putnam County Jail for felony receiving stolen propery and misdemeanor theft.
Riggenbach announced his office is investigating a series of crimes that happened during the overnight hours of May 21 and 22. Eight different residences may have been the site of possible cases in these crimes. Potential charges of burglary, breaking and entering, theft and criminal trespassing may be filed.
Martin was found by the Delphos Police Department near the area of the residences that were involved.
Riggenbach stated that items recovered by Sheriff’s Deputies and Delphos officers linked Kiehl to these cases, but the investigation is continuing and additional charges will be filed.
