VAN WERT — The City of Van Wert will be making another appearance on television. This time it will be a group of people from HGTV. No information about which shows to keep an eye open for, if any personalities will be present locally, but a team from HGTV will be arriving in the city for the U.S. 127 Yard Sales. The sales are being held 7-10, although there is no indication as to which of the days the television crew will be in Van Wert. The crew will be looking to buy interesting and unusual antiques and collectibles.
The itinerary includes a meeting between the HGTV crew and Van Wert Mayor Don Farmer to begin the experience.
Farmer stated, “I’ll be welcoming them to the city at Rotary Park which they will be using as a home base during their visit. From there we’ll go to the fairgrounds where the U.S. 127 Yard Sales will be going on as well as Rib Fest. This is a big weekend in Van Wert, and I hope they will enjoy themselves in our community.”
According to Farmer, he is very happy to see Van Wert get more attention and recognition through the visit from HGTV.
A few spaces are still available at the fairgrounds for sellers. Contact the office at (419) 238-9270 for more information.
