Times Bulletin Staff Report

VAN WERT — Although classes in 2014 have not resumed in 2014, the district is already preparing to handle any additional calamity days by providing assignments to be completed online. For those students without Internet access, “Blizzard Bags” will contain assignments.

According to VWCS Technology Director John Butler, students will be able to access the assignments for each class through the student grade access page. “The announcement will appear in a column next to each subject approximately one hour after the calamity day is officially announced and school is closed for the day,” Butler explained.

For students without computer access, a “Blizzard Bag” will be handed out after the calamity day. That assignment basically will be a paper copy of the same assignment. Students will have two weeks to complete the assignments — either online or on paper.

Questions about these assignments should be directed to Butler at John@vwcs.net or at (419) 238-0648.
