A two-vehicle crash Friday just after 3:30 p.m. injured four persons at the intersection of U.S. 224 and Van Wert-Decatur Rd. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a 2009 Honda Accord driven by David D. Rump, 50, Lewistown, Ohio, was westbound on U.S. 224 when he turned in front of a 2005 Jeep Laredo driven by Corrie A. Sacket, 32, Bluffton, Indiana. The two vehicles collided and one wheel was dislodged from the Honda which stopped in the middle of U.S. 224. The Jeep came to rest off the north side of the road. Rump, Sacket and Sacket’s two children, ages nine and four, were each treated for minor injuries. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
