CONVOY -- With classes dismissed for the summer, the agenda for the Crestview Board of Education was shorter than usual, but still several items demanded the board's approval. Among those was the Five-Year financial forecast from District Treasurer Ashley Whetsel. A line-by-line analysis was okayed by board members, as was the Treasurer's Report and other financial reports. Several fund transfers were also approved.

In staff news, the resignation of Lindsey Shumaker as high school intervention specialist was accepted. Mimi Wreath was accepted as middle school language arts teacher, Allison Reindel was approved as middle school cross country coach, and Matt Perkins was accepted as high school volunteer football coach. The board also congratulated the state finalist track athletes and the Final Four boys baseball team.

Superintendent Mike Estes reported that paving work in the Crestview Athletic Complex is scheduled for July 10-22. Fall sports sports practices are due to begin for all sports on Aug. 1 with Meet the Team nights on Aug. 11.

Budgets for the Pride Committee, and the Tech Team and Premise were accepted. Estes was appointed as Crestview's administrative representative to the Van Wert Area Schools Insurance Group. Board members passed a resolution in favor of preserving the "Thorough and Efficient" provision of the Ohio Constitution.

Also approved were handbooks for the elementary, middle/high school, Athletic Department, choir, band, and Latchkey, and the contract for services from the Western Buckeye ESC for the upcoming school year. The proposed new, revised, deleted and /or replacement bylaws and polices also passed.
