CELINA - The identity of the driver of a box truck who died in a crash on U.S. 33 on Friday has been released.

Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey said the man was 52-year-old Terry G. Keck of South Bend, Indiana. Keck was driving a 2007 GMC truck rented from Budget. Apparently the truck went off the right side of the highway sometime after 4 p.m. The driver overcorrected once, then overcorrected again which caused the vehicle to overturn. Keck was thrown from the vehicle and was trapped beneath it. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Mercer County Coroner Dt. Timothy Heinrichs.

A juvenile had been reported as being a passenger in the truck. He is 11-year-old Seth M. Tessman of Goshen, Indiana. Tessman was taken to St. Marys Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Mercer County Sheriff's Office was assisted on the scene by the Mendon-Union Fire Department, and Mercer County Emergency Response Volunteers. The crash remains under investigation.
