Convoy man jailed on $100K bond on sex charges

VAN WERT — A Convoy man was ordered held on a $100,000 cash bond Wednesday in Van Wert County Court of Common Pleas on sex charges. Michael T. Vandagriff, 38 was arraigned on two counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material or performance. Vandagriff pleaded not guilty to the second-degree felony charges. If found guilty on both counts, he would face up to 16 years in prison. Vandagriff had been arrested on indictment by Fort Wayne Police in Allen County, Indiana. A pretrial hearing is set for August 13.
Michael Whisman, 23, Van Wert, pleaded not guilty to a pair of second-degree felony burglary charges, and one second-degree felony complicity to burglary charge and a fifth-degree felony complicity to theft charge. He was also ordered held on a $100,000 cash bond. A pretrial hearing will be held August 13.
Joe Quevedo, 49, Van Wert, was arraigned on a charge of attempted aggravated burglary, a felony of the second degree. Quevedo pleaded not guilty and was ordered held on a $100,000 cash bond with a pretrial hearing scheduled for August 13.
Casey McMillen, 30, Van Wert, was ordered held on a $10,000 cash bond on a third-degree felony escape charge and a fifth-degree felony drug possession charge. McMillen pleaded not guilty to each charge and a pretrial hearing was set for August 13.
Elizabeth Roberts, 26, Van Wert, was arraigned Wednesday on charges of trafficking marijuana and complicity in trafficking marijuana, each a felony of the fourth degree. Roberts pleaded not guilty to both charges. She was released on bond with a pretrial hearing set for August 20.
Joshua Roberts, 32, Van Wert, pleaded not guilty to three counts of fourth-degree trafficking marijuana and one count of trafficking marijuana, a felony of the third degree.
Ruby Hollingsworth, 55, Van Wert, entered not guilty pleas to three counts of third-degree felony aggravated trafficking in Drugs. Hollingsworth was released on bond and pretrial hearing was scheduled for August 20,
Jayme Fox, 28, Van Wert, entered a not guilty plea to a fifth-degree felony count of theft. Fox was released on bond with a pretrial hearing scheduled for August 20.
Sonny Metzger, 39, Van Wert, entered a not guilty plea to possession of heroin, a felony of the fifth degree. Metzger was released on bond with a pretrial hearing set for August 13.
A Delphos man has been sent to the WORTH Center in Lima for up to six months on a charge of trafficking heroin, a felony of the fifth degree. Jesse Blackburn, 22, was sentenced to 3 years community control, up to 6 months at WORTH Center, 60 days in jail, 200 hours of community service, a six-month drivers license suspension and he must pay fees and court costs. A 12-month prison sentence was deferred pending the successful completion of community control.
Robert Hartman, 24, Van Wert admitted to violating his probation by being arrested on charges filed in Van Wert Municipal Court. Sentencing was continued until a later date. The case was heard by Retired Judge David Faulkner of Hardin County.
On Tuesday, Elmico Crisp, 38, Van Wert was arraigned on a charge of trafficking drugs in the vicinity of a juvenile, a felony of the fourth degree. He was ordered held on a $50,000 cash bond. A pretrial hearing was set for August 13.
A Fort Wayne man pleaded guilty to a second-degree burglary count. Dantonio Wilson, 24, pleaded guilty on Tuesday. Sentencing was set for August 13.
James Sidle, 50, Convoy, admitted to violating his probation by failing to report to his probation officer, failing to report for jail, and failing to attend counseling. Sidle was sentenced to a 12-month prison term . He was given credit for 180 days already served in custody on the charge.
