CELINA — A search of a Celina home revealed drugs and cash and resulted in the arrest of a 43-year-old man. According to Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey, deputies executed a search warrant at a residence on Home Avenue in Celina. Deputies had received information that drugs were present in the home.
During the search, deputies found 19 suspected heroin capsules, a small amount of suspected marijuana, other drug paraphernalia and over $500 in cash.
Dominic M. Disanto was arrested as a result of the search. He was already awaiting trial on charges of theft, drug possession, and drug trafficking. He was released on July 9 on those charges. As of Aug. 14 charges of heroin possession, marijuana possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia, were also filed against him.
Disanto has a lengthy criminal history including drug charges. The case has been forwarded to the Mercer County Prosecuting Attorney for the filing of formal charges and a review of his bond.
Grey also noted that since drugs is a community problem, he continues to encourage tips and information to be given to the Sheriff’s Office.
