We are warm! We love being warm. Our heating systems are our
champions. Thank you to Hoffman Plumbing & Heating, Current Energy
Solutions, Momper Insulation, and Ohio Indiana Roofing for taking what
was once called a drafty old barn and turning it into a comfortable
place to be even with the current ridiculous wind chill factors. While
we did have to rearrange a Rotary meeting lunch and two classes we are
thankful we have an awesome place to do our work.
Since our first
Classic Watercolor Class was supposed to begin Tuesday we are going to
lower the price for a three-week session. Class will resume next Tuesday
morning at 10 a.m., at a reduced cost. Instructor is Pat Rayman. While
this is an ongoing class, newcomers are more than welcome! Give us a
call to sign up, and we will provide you a list of materials required.
additional evening winter class – Pottery Throwing — which was also
supposed to begin today will now run Jan. 14 - Feb. 7, beginning at 6
p.m. The instructor is local potter Dan McMahon. Students will learn
basic throwing techniques and create items for a mini-exhibit and
reception to be held at the end of the class session on Feb. 14, which
will coincide with our upcoming event, The Big Wassky! Cost for this
class is: $55 for members and $60 for non-members. All materials are
In February, back by popular demand, Matt Temple will put on his
Anime/Manga hat to teach a class for ages 8 and up. Dates and details
will be provided in a future column. Also in February, we hope to add
some children’s art classes. We’ll be hammering out the details during
our holiday shut down.

now most of you have heard we know how to have a good time around here
and here’s your chance to find our for yourselves. The Big Wassky is
happening Feb. 14 at 7:30 p.m. Transport yourselves to the juice joints
of the roaring 20s with live music provided by popular Toledo band,
Distant Cousinz. Why is this you speak? It’s easy! We are throwing a
membership drive and your password and a few clams gets you and a St.
Valentines Day loved one in the door all for a swell cause. We want you
to know what all that roar is about so give us a call, we’ll give you
the skinny. Flappers and 1920s fashions encouraged.
