3-car crash on U.S. 127 injures two

CELINA — A 65-year-old Lebanon, Ohio had to be taken by helicopter to St. Rita’s Regional Medical Center in Lima after a three-car crash on U.S. 127 near the intersection with St. Rt. 117 Monday night. Philip Ehling was driving south on U.S. 127 when he crossed the center line for some unknown reason, striking a car driven by Dennis Craft, 60, St. Marys. Craft’s car end up in a ditch. Ehling’s vehicle then struck a car driven by Ronda Lisa Teague, 57, of Fort Myers, Florida.
Teague was not injured in the crash. Craft was brought to Van Wert Hospital while Ehling was flown to St. Rita’s. No information was released about the conditions of either driver. The accident itself remains under investigation.
