VAN WERT — On Tuesday evening, June 3, several adults took a giant step in their lives at the Vantage Recognition Ceremony. Over 50 adult learners were recognized for completing a full-time program. They may have received a certificate for the ABLE program, or the EMT program or the Medical Assistant program. Those in the Industrial Automated Maintenance and CNC Operation programs not only received a certificate, but they also received several transferrable college credits through a partnership with Northwest State Community College.

It was all about the students, and guest speaker Julie Miller, director of the Business Enterprise Center at Wright State University Lake Campus, focused on that. Her message to them: never stop learning. She also reminded the students that the demand for skilled employees is higher than ever before.

Vantage Adult Education Director Pete Prichard said, “This ceremony was a great event. It showcases the classes and activities taking place at Vantage through Adult Education.”

Spencer Wenninger, a member of the Industrial Automated Maintenance class, spoke to his classmates and guests about his program and the teachers, and said he would always remember this class.
